The first step in getting Lip Fillers in Austin, TX is to contact your nearest Personique on the Spot and schedule a consultation. During this appointment, you will meet with a member of our aesthetic team who will answer any questions or concerns you have, listen to your desires for the results, as well as offer advice on the treatment and a recovery plan for your lips. Next, using a very thin needle, we will inject the chosen filler into specific areas of your lips. Depending on what was discussed during your consultation and what your desired appearance is, this could take place on the edges of your lips (vermillion border), the curve in the center of your upper lip (Cupid’s bow), and your oral commissures (corners of your mouth).
With each specific injection, the injector will gently massage the filler around and assess the results, only adding more if needed. Once the injections are completed, you may be given an ice pack to reduce any swelling or bruising that may occur.

You should avoid exercising or any strenuous activity during the first 24 hours, but you should remember to drink plenty of water. Also during this time period, do your best to avoid touching or pursing your lips, so this means no kissing, using straws, and even wearing lip balm, lipstick, etc.
Finally, if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort, you can lightly apply a bag of ice to your lips for about 10 minutes at a time. This will also help with inflammation.
